What is alla prima painting?
‘Alla prima’ is also known as ‘wet-on-wet’ painting.
You paint on a previously applied and still wet layer, or directly onto the white canvas. The ‘alla prima’ method is widely used when painting on location, 'en plein air'. Cobra is the perfect paint for this, because you don't need to take any solvents into nature, only water.
